Crete - The Bronze Age Collapse
Crete is a mountainous island. There are five mountain regions, each with its own unique character. High above sea level, on the peaks and high ridges you'll find ruins of complex villages that were founded sometime between 1200 and 1000 BC. Some could host up to 3000 people. The climate here is also inhospitable. In the summer, the temperatures have been known to climb into the hundreds Fahrenheit; in the winter, the mountains are windy and snow-capped. These villages were not for the faint of heart and not for the average person to stumble upon.
