Is There a Responsibility in Space?
The outer space treaty does stipulate that countries are responsible for like the actions of their citizens in space. So there is some responsibility sort of assigned in that case, but these things can get complicated. There was recently this problem on the International Space Station where there was a hole in one of the Soyezes. But Russia claims that one of the astronauts on the US side had a mental break after getting some bad medical news and wanted to go home early.
