What's the Biggest Thing About Writing a Book Review?

I think that compartmentalization of art versus your response to it is the most powerful thing I've taken away from reading. So like human behavior, world events, and then your response are two separate things. It's always that extra thing of like, why do I feel that way? Was the book deliberately confusing? Did I just not roast it? Do you have methods for piecing this together? Like, do you go about decoding this through conversation or do you write it out?
