It's true that my research focus has shifted a bit, but it is still very much the same driving question. Trying to use some combination of empirical input and rational thought to come up with the best possible models of reality. I think we do the anthropic principle very, very badly in cosmology. And I think that physicists are very sloppy about it. You know, the typical physicist way of thinking is there's many wrong ways to get the right answer.
