The Delay in Depression in Young Adults
For young adults, it takes a little longer. It's more like 2013 or 2014 when it first starts to tick up then it goes up even faster than for teens. By 2019, their level of clinical level depression has reached the same level as teens. So it also doubled or almost doubled and in even shorter period of time. And why was there the delay? I think because it was a generational effect.
