Is the End of the World Really Coming?
Despite the fact that it clearly doesn't predict the end of the world, it's still continually reinterpreted that way. People put their hopes in something that that is being predicted. They're sure it's going to happen because it says so right here. It has larger effects on American foreign policy for one thing. Christian Zionism started in the 19th century in England and then came over to America. The Bible predicts that Israel will be restored as a nation.
