Amazon isn't an extension of Jeff Bezos's brain, but it really is a company made in his image. In 1988, he leaves Fitell the startup and he goes to work actually in banking. He had been working in this sort of network operations for early stage quant finance. On the side, he becomes friends with a guy named Halsey Minor who went on to start CNET.

Amazon. No company has impacted the internet — and all of modern life — more than this one. We’ve waited seven years to do this episode, and are so, so excited to finally dive into every nook and cranny of this legendary company.
