Anger Is Not Bad

It's very rare i meet someone whose parents taught them how to feel. We have a long standing culture of perceiving emotion as weakness, treating emotion like something that should just be stuffed down and dealt with. And so none of us, for generations, have been given the tools necessarily necessary to manage emotion. I'm not sure my job would be what it would be, cause this is what i do all day every day as a counsellor: trying to help hers figure out this whole emotion thing.
