Introduction
The Senate on Tuesday night voted down an amendment to create a special inspector general for Ukraine. The amendment, which was introduced by Senator Josh Hawley failed in a vote of 26 to 68. 24 Republicans and only two Democrats voted in favor of more oversight for the billions in weapons that are being shipped to Ukraine.
