The founding of Athens is so very simple and so much more connected to the gods. They think it's going to be a big one, so they've got to get that sorted right away. The real issue comes into play of which God is going to be the patron God or goddess of this new city. And Poseidon is always competing to name cities. He does win maybe a couple of times, but he mostly loses.
