Gluten Causes Leaky Gut Syndrome and Food Sensitivities

The gluten protein molecule is large and we actually as humans lack the specific enzymes to fully break it down. And so when you partially, when this partially digested molecule comes in contact with the small intestine, it sparks the immune system and creates this inflammation. So not only does gluten lead to leaky gut syndrome and food sensitivities, it also leads to this large spike in blood sugar that contributes to insulin resistance, obesity, and then further inflammation. The gluten binds to these opioid receptors in the gut and the same receptors that morphine and heroin can bind to. This makes our children's and our bodies crave it. It even leads to this withdrawal effect when you stop eating it.
