The History Channel and the Alien Mean Man
The History Channel's Mysteries of the Outer Realms has been accused of perpetuating junk science. The show claims that an African tribe known as the Dogen communicated with these Merpeople like gods. In short, aliens, right? Wrong. White people and pseudosciences have effectively disregarded these beliefs and co-opted their stories to suit their own age. And in that sense, the history channel is failing at educating anyone, and they're quite frankly doing the opposite.
