Extinction Is a Different Kind of Death

The last passenger pigeon, a female named Martha, died at the Cincinnati Zoo in 1914. There's an Ibex in Spain called the Bicardo, one extinct in 2000. The Tasmanian Tiger was hunted until there were just a few left to die in zoos. Sorrow, anger, mourning, don't mourn or organize. Humans have made a huge hole in nature in the last 10,000 years.
