Code Editors Need a Native Business Model
I think that code editors in general, like the entire space would do well to have a kind of native business model, if that makes sense. Because for all the value that software brings to the world, I think that the front line of where software is written doesn't see enough investment and innovation because it's been hard to monetize. JetBrains is the one company in the space. They're 20 years in. And I think they've managed to gain a foothold with this kind of license based models.
