The Elements of Academic Style - A Book Review
i wanted to produce a defence of the humanities, or defense of humanist thinking. And i don't think anyone really necessarily needs to write it. The main thing that the elements of academic style does is to break down into pieces the work of writing and the action of writing. One of the things that i wrote that book to counter was a lot of other kinds of writing books,. which tend to view writing as a matter of inspiration or as amatter of expression.
