Is There a Cure for Hyperkalemia?

Tony: I've never given sodium bicarbonate and look to see if the cure-res complex narrows. But the studies demonstrate that it can. The early hyperkalemia is a more excitable membrane, but as it persists, that membrane becomes less excitable. Fortunately for us, calcium, whether it's calcium gluconate or other forms of calcium, they kind of address both of these issues.
