Old English First Person Pronouns
English has been remarkably re ant. Other than a few voll shifts, they're all basically the same as old english. So let me stop talking about myself and start talking about you. Let's shift from first person to second person. As we saw earlier, modern English uses the ubiquitous you. The only exception is the possessive form, which is your. But again, your is the same for singular and plural. We can see how shakespeare used these subject and object forms in the famous opening lines of sonnet 18 - thou art more lovely and more temperate.
