The Long Hair of John Milton

In 1625, the same year Milton starts at Christ College Cambridge, King James first dies and Charles the first is crowned. The other thing that happens in 1625, there is an outbreak of the plague that kills one sixth of the city. Early on, we start to already see this Milton mode of writing poetry that is religious and political and aesthetic. And it's all of these things together.
