What Is Accessibility?

I actually started doing accessibility talks back in 2000. That's 18 years ago. And still people are not implementing it. I think what you've hit up on there is both the curse and the blessing of the medium we work in. The web or HTML is so fantastically robust. You can build stuff in so many ways. It still works. Whereas if we break other bits of code, they fall over. So I think there we have the essence of why we have so much problem with accessibility: We don't have to do it for things to work. Exactly. But it's also a testament of course to really how young our industry is.
