The Rise of the American Revolution
The Alliance for Progress was the idea that liberal democracy and capitalism could produce healthy societies. Kennedy sent a delegation to Uruguay in August of 1961, the US did,. And when they, this is a photograph here of him greeting these, the delegation upon their return. They said that the alliance aimed to achieve full recognition of the right of all people to share fully in our progress. The aspects of it that were shortcomings were that it didn't call for or promote nationalization of US enterprises.
