The Importance of Cognitive Load Theory

Dinner with the M says things that you hear now one of them is something along the lines of cognitive load theory. I didn't want cognitive load theory to be true eventually just looking at the research evidence I was just overwhelmed by it. Every teacher has had the experience of teaching a lesson all the students can do it by the end of the lesson and yet two weeks later they can't remember any of it. This is one of the fundamental paradoxes of teaching that students can actually independently complete their lessons.
