Once they generate these ideas and an articles are written in symposiums, hope is that those in power will hear them,. believe them and start to change our policies along those lines. Do you find that the way you think about your work as a writer has changed because of this broader picture that you're engaged in at thesethes think tanks? I really do. I feel that as a writer, my my duty, my responsibility as a citizen...I cannot in good conscience just fill my work with empty calories. There must be some kind of intellectual nutrition for the reader.
