Introduction

Lays Beno is a former graduate student at the University of California, Santa Cruz. Like me, she is a recent refugee out of academia and the academic humanities. Lays: Biopolitical critique derived from work of people like Michelle Foucault and Georgia Gamben. The only event of its kind that has occurred in the United States using a body of critical theory specifically calibrated to make sense of these kind of events.
