The Texas legislature passed a law that protects the life of every unborn child. It was supposed to take effect on september first, but has been delayed by legal shenanigans. The supreme court did not rule on whether or not it should be allowed to go into effect. Ean: Five justices said they were going to let the law go into fact and then change their mind later.

Since the Supreme Court’s "shadow docket" decision to allow the Texas abortion ban to go into effect, a growing chorus of politicians and legal experts have questioned the court’s legitimacy. Vox's Ian Millhiser says the justices aren’t taking the criticism well.
