Roll Dahl's Story
At the age of 26, Roll Dahl was sent to work at the British Embassy in Washington D.C. He met famous military writer C.S. Forrester who asked him to write about a plane crash he had suffered during World War II. The article would be his first published piece and helped jump start his literary career. But behind the scenes, it's thought that he became an undercover agent for Canadian spymaster William Stevenson. His role was to supply Britain with intelligence about its ally, the USA.
