The Importance of Ecological Economics in College Education
Last year, you guys did a really interesting study on how college students are feeling about economics. What we found was that econ students are exposed to very few schools of thought. For example, only 22% reported having been exposed to environmental or ecological economics,. Only 7% reported having studied feminist economics and stratification economics. Students think climate change racism, gun control and inequality are the most pressing issues in the US at the moment. But they're taught virtually nothing about them.
