The Importance of Depth in Mixing
I'm curious why depth and distortion go hand in hand maybe that's a naive question but why? Because again it's like you can have the distortion but if you've got the warmth holding it up you can have things as distorted as fuck. If you'veGot the warmth and the bass there and you've got something nasty as hell going on you can have it as loud as you like because it's got the bass to the warmth of the bottom end to support it. Otherwise it just unless you want a fucking you know chainsaw going through your head maybe that's the effect for that song or that particular part of a song. But normally I like it so it's pretty it's supported
