The History of Carbon 14

Carbon 14 has a half-life of almost 6,000 years. People were studying carbon 14 just from like a chemistry point of view. At the time you know we didn't really understand the nucleus very well. It's not easy to do these calculations to say what would be the mass of this particle or how stable would that be.
