The Big Number Hypothesis

In your and my lifetime, we will know whether there was ever life on Mars or whether there is life on the icy moons of Jupiter. I think in our lifetime, we'll know whether our solar system has any of your life. And if it does, that's just our backyard that opens the floodgates of likelihoods that life would be common practically in any star system that we come upon. If you want us to be alone or unique, you are following some point of philosophy that does not resonate with anything going on in science right now.
