Artist gabby miller traveled aboard a container ship headed for asia to see how the goods actually move, not just historically, across the ocean that connects oakland to asia. In her work, she explores the human and environmental impacts of trade more than the economic transformations. She knew she wanted it to deal with the impacts of these huge ships.
