The Best of All Possible Worlds
Don't expect it to suddenly or be made better as though we can somehow live in a world without any of that stuff. That's part of the ancient philosophy called stoicism. It's also part of what people like Leibniz said in the 17th century that this is the best of all possible worlds so get used to it. And various of the Enlightenment philosophers look back at that and say it's really the best. But let's have the full picture of both, please.
