A Second Pass Blast From a Past Past Consultant
Former Oakland A's owner Charlie Finley brought a proposed rule change to Major League Baseball on March 16th 1971. The new count with three balls and three strikes did not go well as the two teams produced 23 total walks in a game one 10 to 7 by Cleveland. This past blast comes from David Lewis an architectural historian and baseball researcher based in Boston.
