The Role of Education in Crisis Communication in China
I went to the United States about a decade ago to do my PhD because I really wanted to study the US-China relationship and where I ended up going at MIT. There's an extraordinary depth of expertise on nuclear strategy in China's military that I was able to kind of learn from a decade ago now. My hope is that as Australia is developing these new capabilities as part of walkers and others that are mentioned in the defense strategic review, we also invest in the kind of expertise that will help us to sort of think that doesn't step ahead of how China's response to the escalation risks we might be facing.
