The sphagnum moss has a high concentration of iodine in it. So you can squeeze it out and use it as a water clean or water source. The Spanish moss or old man's beard like in also hanging everywhere in the Pacific Northwest collects a ton of water. Even if you don't have a dedicated water source, you can get water.
