i'm wondering about the extent of anti-immigrant backlash that was fueled by these anarchist attacks. I always picture this as being a similar moment to uh just after 9-11 in my own memory when In mainstream american society was very ready to treat all Arab Americans with suspicion. There were definitely folks like sako and venezetti who espoused an anarchist Ideology and committed some crimes, but that's such a small fractional tiny portion of The immigrant community,. But it became very convenient for the rest of society to scapegoat them and to treat them all with suspicion So there are some elements of truth.
