The Glider Pilot Regiment and the Army Air Corps

gliders ceased to be used operationally after Operation Varsity in 1945. In 1957 the regiment was disbanded reverted back to the army air corps as we know it today they lost their maroon berry and the ox Oxford blue I think the oxford blue berry was was issued to them. They're incredibly proud to have the glider pilot regiment as their forefathers, says Angus Wallace.
