When i was a governor, for example, back in the late seventies and throughout the eighties, there was a general consensus that state government was primarily about schools and jobs. Now if you try to have that conversation in the a right states, they'll simply say, well, we just don't believe that two and two is four is an opinion. That's the education establishment. You call everything you don't agree with an establishment. And it's very deeply troubling to me,. It's difficult to get people just to think and to feel free to do that. So over the long run, i think it's really bad, but it sure seem to be working well in elections.
