Is There a Check Constraint?
I wish they would have called it something like apply retroactively, or something, lik add, instead of cause. But for this like validation approach, where it only applies to the new records, than you can retroectively apply it to the old ones. It is a kind of non symmetric the um there isn't. I think it safe to always add a not knoll constraint assuming that you have no rows with knolls.
