The Plain Text of Scripture
Luther calls it the plain text of scripture. Sometimes what the Bible is saying or even saying to you is clear, but it's just difficult to hear. And so in it being difficult to hear your simple mind churns it into something less difficult to hearing. There's tons of verses in the Bible that you run into them and you don't want it to mean what it clearly says.
