How Much Personal Data and Mobile Aps Are Allowed to Access?

People are often surprised to learn just how much personal data and mobile aps are allowed to access. The privacy policy is exactly the same as the privacy policys for probably 50 aps already on your phone. I don'tstand why they even allow these aps into the stores to demand this stuff any more. It turns your profile picture into some kind of, you know, michael angelos style painting. But what date could that possibly need?
