Craig Brown: Book of the New Sun alternates between basically like gonzo action adventure, impenetrable philosophical ruminations and characters doing things that make you uncomfortable. The Earth email list was a version of Usenet that was a use net like thing, which is one step ahead of bulletin board. And it became a really active listserv where people would do are just really parse the books,. Like try and get through and be like, well, this part makes me think of this part.
