The Death of William Melch at Dinkle

William Melch at Dinkle pretended to be a young female nurse and used various screen names to encourage people to kill themselves. He estimated that five of those he'd spoken to had ended their lives, but later said the real death toll could be in the dozens. Minnesota is particularly tough on assisted suicide; law extends to anyone who encourages AIDS or directs another to take their own life - whether it happens or not. When asked why he encouraged all of these vulnerable people to end their lives so he could watch, he replied: "The thrill of the chase"
