William Branham was one of the most popular preachers in post-war revival. He refused to take a large salary, took about 7,000 per year at the height of his popularity. His manager alone was taking 80,000 a year. In 1956 he would be playing second fiddle to Jim Jones and hold an event with 11,000 people.
