The Importance of Deferring Judgment

I always ask people, what are you most excited about right now? Yeah, exactly. Like simple questions. I do it because we're hardwired to ask these questions for a variety of reasons. And so I try to defer judgment as much as possible when you meet someone and very people ask, hey, what did you think of that person? I'm like, I don't know. It didn't go terribly wrong. But I'm like deferring judgment is one of those things where over time I've just learned that it has much more upside.
