During the Spanish Civil War, large groups of workers came together under self-management. In some areas wages were removed and replaced with a system of distribution that was based on the needs of the person or family. The actions of these collectives in their first days was different based on where they were located. There would be constant problems in creating the revolutionary society that many anarchists were striving for due to the fact that they often had to collaborate with far less radical groups.
