Alligators can get up to 14 feeto. I have had an encounter with an alligator that was missing half its tail. We actually caught him in a trap twice, and we named him jaba because he just looked like jaba, the hut oat. But you're able to measure their total length, even if they're missing part of their tail, by doubling their snout to their cloaca,. which is where they pe and reproduce.
