How Do You Replicate a Long Short Strategy?

There's two parts to answering that question. The first is when you look at public indexes, especially if they're available in a completely liquid form, they're probably not replicating long short. But it does come down to correlation. You know, I spend a lot of time educating advisors in particular on the space. And one of the things I focus on is looking at correlations because there are things that are quote unquote alternatives which actually have quite a bit of equity beta.
