The World of Power and Control
William of Occam was a logician who wrestled with the problem of universals. He affirms that moral actions are good or evil just because God commands or forbids them. In Occam's world, efficient causation no longer consists of agents acting according to their nature for there are no natures in order to bring about specific ends proper to their kinds.
