The Big Story

Who Was Ethel Williams?

Ethel Williams was a university student and society girl in Syracuse, New York. In 1916 she received a postcard with an address in Juneau, Alaska. A mining engineer wrote to her saying he had been attacked by Indians on his way home from work. He said that while crossing Lake Tagish the night before, he dreamed of a young girl who told him how to get home. The story is true but Ethel didn't hear it until years later when letters were sent out again.
