In 2014 at the Commonwealth Games, she won the 100 freestyle and I came second. She was very happy that she'd done a good time. But she knew also that I wasn't going to be as happy. So then it's this conflict where you're like, I just don't know how to celebrate this in a positive way. 2018 was her comeback event from that. It was the first time she competed internationally since 2016. And like I watched how difficult 2016 was for her. Then two years later, I am the person stopping her from having a fairytale ending to that chapter of her life.
